Education Week was 21 to 27 May this year. The theme is Healthy mind, healthy body. To celebrate Education week, and to highlight some of the opportunities students are exposed to at Cobden Technical School, a number of lunchtime activities have been organised by the SRC.

Monday saw most of the school involved in a game of killer ball, whilst others were offered the opportunity to take a walk around the block. Tuesday we had a fruit eating competition; the quickest to eat a banana was Natalie Meade, the quickest to eat a lemon was also Natalie Meade, whilst the quickest to eat an apple without using hands was Harley Reynolds. Wednesday students could take part in a mindfulness session, an aerobics session, chess club a Kahootz challenge.

Thursday the school again hosted a mindfulness session, as well as a yoga session and a trivia quiz. On Friday there was a game of teams chess, a general assembly celebrating education week and the counting of the votes in our inaugural student "best and fairest" (yet to be officially named). This competition devised by the student leadership, asks teachers to vote 3,2 and 1 for the beat students in their class based on effort, attitude and performance. Votes gained by students go towards the House competition.

A busy week, thanks to the SRC and student leadership for their organisation and support and thanks to all students who got involved.
