Our year 9 students visited the Werribee Zoo in term 4, where they attended the educational program titled “ Eat or be Eaten”, focused on identifying how animals are adapted to obtain and digest food and avoid being eaten themselves.
They also took part in a safari bus tour at the zoo to understand the interactions between different organisms in the eco-system. This was as a part of their practical investigation for the topic ecosystems. The programs were highly informative and engaging. Students actively participated in these programs and had a great time studying fossils of different animals and trying to guess what type of "consumer" each fossil belonged to based on the features of each skull.
