Cobden Technical School would like to congratulate our Year 12 class of 2019. Cobden Technical School’s highest scoring VCE students were Gemma Kelly, Skye Leith and Louella Frusher. This capped off a highly successful year for Gemma who has completed the VCE Baccalaureate and was a member of the student leadership team as well as being 2019 dux. Gemma was also the top student in Chemistry, Health and Human Development, Indonesian and Mathematical Methods.
Our students have attained ATAR scores and entered vocational pathways that will allow them to pursue careers in a range of areas including Library and Information Services, Nursing, Hair and Beauty, Welding, Agriculture, Community Services, Building and Construction, and Education and Child services. Our graduating VCAL students are all successfully placed in work or apprenticeships and our VCE students are now awaiting confirmation of offers, which will occur anytime from now up until mid-January.
At Cobden Technical School we place equal emphasis on the three parallel senior school pathways of VCE, VET and VCAL. Through the educational opportunities our school offers, our graduating students have been able to achieve their personal goals related to further study, training and employment.
