Student Code of Conduct

Our school has a clear code of conduct to ensure students, parents and staff members are aware of   expected behaviours.

Our code of conduct is based upon the following beliefs:

  • Every student has the right to learn without disruption from others.
  • Students and teachers should treat each other with respect and courtesy.
  • The care of school property is the responsibility of all those who use it.
  • When inappropriate behaviour is displayed, students must be prepared to accept the consequences as part of developing a responsible outlook.
A significant component of our code of conduct is the Behaviour Management Plan, which outlines a       graduated five-step approach to consequences for unacceptable behaviour. These are set out clearly in the student reference manual. Students’ achievements are regularly recognised to promote positive  behaviours.

The school uses the Compass School Manager as a key information portal for teachers, students and families. The Compass chronicle for each student, to which all families have online access via computer or Smartphone app, will include specific details of both positive and negative behaviours.
